Startup Online Business - 5 Ideas for Raising Fast Cash To Finance Your Business Online

There are thousands of articles and guides on the Internet making ridiculous claims as to how you can make a lot of money online for free. These guides and articles are usually followed by an affiliate link to a site where you buy an eBook or course that will teach you the ways to make money online for free. Funny how that works...You're being asked to pay for information on how to do something for free.

The fact of the matter is, there are a few simple ways to make money online for free but for the most part, you are going to need to money to make money. In order to properly set up an online business, it's going to require a couple hundred dollars minimum. At the very least, you will likely need web hosting and a domain name. If you can't build your own website, you will need to pay someone to build the site for you. After building the site and getting it hosted, you may want to pay for link building or search engine optimization or a variety of other services available across the web. After a while, the costs really start to add up.

While the bare minimum required just to get started isn't a lot, it can represent a challenge to some people. Here are some suggestions to help you build up enough money for a startup online business:

1. Sell stuff - Nobody wants to sell all of their personal belongings to finance an online business and that isn't what I'm suggesting. What I am suggesting is that you look around your house and identify items that you either don't use or don't need anymore and sell them. How about that sweater your aunt gave you that you never wore? What about all of the video games you've beaten and likely won't play ever again? One man's trash is another man's treasure. Put them on eBay or Craigslist. For people with a lot of stuff sitting around the house, this can be a significant source of money.

2. Cut back on spending - Look at your life and identify area where y can cut corners. Do you eat out a lot? If so, you can save money by staying home and eating inexpensive items. Even if you only eat out 4 times a month, you can save 20-30 dollars a month staying home and eating in. Do you smoke? As a former smoker I know that this is easier said than done, but quitting smoking can save you hundreds of dollars a month if you have a pack a day habit. Even if you just cut back a little, you can save quite a bit of money.

3. Freelance - There are multiple sites where you can drum up some freelance work online. Check sites like Elance.com and Odesk.com and if nothing there excites you, look to fiverr.com or tenbux.com and see what other people are getting paid to do. If you can write, you can get paid for writing articles. When you first start, the money isn't great but it adds up over time.

4. Take Out a Loan - If your online business needs require more money than the above options allow you to make, you can seek a small business loan. If that doesn't work, you may be able to take out a personal loan. Be forewarned that many personal loans are secured by your house or against your 401K. If you fail to make payment on this type of loan, the consequences can be severe. I don't recommend taking out this sort of loan but included it because it may be an option for some.

5. Find an investor - If you have a solid business plan and think you can make money online with it, seek out an investor. There are people out there willing to pay to help you set up your business as long as they think it will make them money later on down the road. Be prepared to knock on a lot of doors before you find someone that thinks your business idea is as good as you think it is. Going this route will also give you a good idea of what others think of your idea. Take any criticism into consideration and, if you're having trouble finding financing, be open to modifying your plan in order to get it financed.
